## Verified identity versus reported case role
Fresh direct retrieval of the Ontario Court of Justice roster returned HTTP 200. Its full HTML, including the Central East Region modal, contains “The Honourable Justice Nathan N. Baker”. Simplified page extraction can omit modal contents; this review inspected the actual HTML rather than relying on a search snippet. This verifies roster identity and affiliation, not participation in a particular case.

CP24's article text expressly names Justice Nathan N. Baker as the trial judge in Munroe's 2025 trial. The current CanadianJudges data was checked for an existing matching profile before adding on-ocj-nathan-n-baker. No matching Nathan N. Baker profile was present. No appointment date, political attribution, official portrait, private contact or personal-family details were added.

## Reported legal distinction
The June 17, 2022 confrontation inside the home and the later shots from the porch are distinct. CP24 reports that self-defence was accepted for the inside-home conduct, with acquittals on those charges. It reports convictions for reckless discharge of a restricted or prohibited firearm from the porch at intruders fleeing in a car, and obstruction of a peace officer for the initial false police statement. The later shots did not hit anyone.

The reported sentence was 729 days conditionally in the community followed by three years of probation; reports describe house arrest with a work exception and GPS monitoring. The Crown's attempt to obtain a harsher sentence was rejected. Global News states the trial minimum-sentence constitutional finding was not challenged on appeal. Do not reframe this as imprisonment for all defensive conduct or an appellate invalidation of all firearms minimum sentences.

## Official-reasons access limit
Fresh direct access to CP24's linked official decision returned HTTP 403. Earlier extraction produced a heading and inconsistent 2020 date metadata rather than reasons; that metadata is excluded from the article's chronology. The full official judgment has not been read. Search-index leads for citation/panel remain unpublished, provisional research leads; they do not support verified appellate profiles. No appellate names or neutral citation are asserted here. This access limit is not evidence that reasons do not exist.

## Social/video and privacy handling
The social video is commentary incorporating a television news report, not footage of the shooting. Captured media and machine transcript remain local; the transcript contains name/charge transcription errors and is not authoritative legal text. The claim that fleeing intruders might have been retrieving more weapons is commentary, not an established case fact in the reviewed sources. No video, screenshot, portrait or third-party news photo is republished in this companion.

No registry inquiry, publication-ban clearance or case-specific order was obtained. Absence of an identified order is not proof no restriction exists. Use only already published reporting, omit unnecessary family identifiers/private addresses, and do not expand allegations. This is a judicial decision source card, not a misconduct finding, disciplinary record or legal advice.
