Scope: This Australian proceeding is recorded for cross-site court monitoring. It is not a Canadian case, a misconduct profile or a finding that the applicants’ allegations are true.

The video lead is a procedural update

In the John Campbell video, Melissa McCann says the vaccine-injury class action awaits a summary-dismissal ruling. That is an attributed account of the case’s procedural position, not a statement that liability has been proved. The broader inquiry and health claims belong in the PBC companion source-check; this note addresses only the court trail.

Court and judicial identity

What the sources establish—and do not

The April 2025 orders struck out the third further amended statement of claim and required leave before another amended pleading could be filed. They also dismissed the respondents’ security-for-costs application. A pleading being struck out is not itself a judgment establishing the alleged injuries or the respondents’ liability.

Lawyers Weekly reported on 27 July 2026 that Justice Owens heard the later summary-dismissal application and reserved his decision. The report presents competing submissions, not findings of liability. It is consistent with the procedural account attributed to McCann in the video.

Status limit: No later official ruling on that application was verified in this review. The accessible public-file view did not supply the full event/order history. An open-file label does not establish that every application remains undecided. We therefore do not assert a current final outcome, damages award or merits finding.

Watch item, not a misconduct profile

The next evidence needed is the dated order and, if published, reasons disposing of the later application. Judicial identities are documented above, but no foreign judge has been inserted into the Canadian judge dataset. This entry makes no allegation of misconduct against either judge.
